Mazda 3 review (2023)

Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

This car is pitched at the mature driver like me, comfortable for 2 with the occassional 4 occupants, it has all the features I had on my previous VAG car but nothing works as well.
Economy on the Skyactive X engine is not impressive but worst of all you cannot find 186hp unless you are over 4000rpm and E5 petrol.
The transmission gear ratios are way to close which results in you constantly changing gears which again as a mature driver I find tiresome in a Urban environment and in Wales
The cabin is comfortable and premium with phyiscal Air Conditioning controls and a none touchscreen interface.
My main issue is the Mazda paintwork that which has different colored Bumpers to body which Mazda dismiss as acceptable I do not on a brand new car, their get out clause is apparently the bumpers are painted in a different plant.
The Tech is a total waste of money with constant Alarms with no central dislay to explain Why?
To get around this problem Mazda have fitted a button to mute nearly all alarms which by doing so recognises this as an issue for Mazda.
1 MPH above the road sign recognition and Alarm and 1 MPH above the navigation map reference an Alarm
Maps out of date cause more Alarms with the discrepancies especially in Wales
Radar will suddenly pickup the car you are overtaking and slams on the brakes which is dangerous when you are being tailgated.
You have to hold the wheel at 10 to 2 otherwise another alarm
You cannot cross a line without indicating without the car fighting you
Front and rear cross alarm is useless in a suoermarket it applies Alarms then brakes with any movement of cars or people.
This is a car with safety features stop you enjoying a drive and ends up with you switching off most of the safety features.
Now when I enter the car ends I fit my seat belt, press the mute for the alarms and put on the brake hold everytime which always defaults to off. Everything esle is off.
If I go local I drive my wifes 8 year old Clio.
A car that promises everything but with so many poor design flaws it is impossible to enjoy as my last car ever before the grim reaper.
